Description : IOCL Northern Region Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Marketing Division – Northern Region, has released Advertisement No. IOCL/MKTG/NR/APPR/2026-27/1 for the engagement of Trade, Technician and Graduate Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. A total of 433 apprentice seats are available across Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Eligible candidates can apply online through the NAPS or NATS portal from 07 August 2026 to 06 September 2026. Selection will be based on merit in the prescribed educational qualification, followed by document verification and a pre-engagement medical fitness test.

Eligibility Criteria for IOCL Northern Region Apprentice Recruitment 2026
  • Trade Apprentice – Fitter: Matriculation with a regular full-time 2-year ITI Fitter course recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
  • Trade Apprentice – Electrician: Matriculation with a regular full-time 2-year ITI Electrician course recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
  • Trade Apprentice – Electronics Mechanic: Matriculation with a regular full-time 2-year ITI Electronics Mechanic course.
  • Trade Apprentice – Instrument Mechanic: Matriculation with a regular full-time 2-year ITI Instrument Mechanic course.
  • Trade Apprentice – Machinist: Matriculation with a regular full-time 2-year ITI Machinist course.
  • Technician Apprentice: Relevant regular full-time 3-year Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, Electrical & Electronics or Electronics Engineering. General, EWS and OBC-NCL candidates require 50% marks, while SC/ST/PwBD candidates require 45% marks for reserved positions.
  • Graduate Apprentice: Regular full-time Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks for General/EWS/OBC-NCL or 45% marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
  • Data Entry Operator – Fresher: Class 12th pass and below Graduate level.
  • Data Entry Operator – Skill Certificate Holder: Class 12th pass, below Graduate level, along with the prescribed Domestic Data Entry Operator Skill Certificate.
  • Part-time, correspondence and distance-learning qualifications are not eligible.
