Description : Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications, Government of India has released the notification for Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Online Engagement Schedule-II, July-2026 for Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) and Dak Sevak posts. A total of 23,757 vacancies are available across different postal circles. The online application process will be open from 02 September 2026 to 21 September 2026. How to Fill Form for India Post GDS Recruitment 2026
  • First complete the Online One-Time Registration on the India Post GDS portal.
  • Registration is open from 31 August 2026 to 19 September 2026 up to 05:00 PM.
  • Keep your mobile number, email ID, Aadhaar details if available, 10th examination details and scanned photograph/signature ready.
  • After registration, login and submit the online application between 02 September 2026 and 21 September 2026.
  • Select the applicable postal circle, division and post preferences according to the local language studied in 10th standard.
  • Enter your Class 10 marks/details exactly as mentioned in the marksheet.
  • Upload the required recent photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
  • Pay the application fee of Rs. 100/- if applicable. Female, SC/ST, PwBD and Transwomen applicants are exempted from fee payment.
  • Review all details carefully before final submission.
  • Submit the application form and keep a copy of the submitted application for future reference.
  • Do not submit multiple or duplicate registrations/applications.
Mode Of Selection Pay Scale
  • Selection will be made through a system-generated merit list.
  • No written examination is conducted.
  • No interview is conducted.
  • Merit will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the 10th Standard Secondary School Examination.
  • Marks are aggregated to percentage up to 4 decimal places.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for physical verification of original documents.
  • After successful verification and completion of formalities, provisional engagement will be offered.
