Eligibility Criteria / Educational Qualification – UPSC Recruitment 2026

1. Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Anatomy)

  • Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
  • Prescribed postgraduate qualification in Anatomy along with the required teaching / professional experience as prescribed in the official notification.

2. Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (General Medicine)

  • Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
  • Prescribed postgraduate qualification in General Medicine / Medicine along with the required teaching / professional experience as prescribed in the official notification.

3. Assistant Editor

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism / Mass Communication from a recognized University or Institute.
  • Alternatively, Bachelor’s Degree with Economics, Statistics or English as a subject along with at least one-year Diploma in Journalism / Mass Communication.
  • Required editing / publishing experience as prescribed in the official notification.

4. Specialist Grade II (Junior Scale) – Anaesthesiology

  • Recognized medical qualification with the prescribed postgraduate degree / diploma in Anaesthesiology.
  • Required experience in the concerned specialty as prescribed in the official notification.

5. Specialist Grade II (Junior Scale) – Paediatrics

  • Recognized medical qualification with the prescribed postgraduate degree / diploma in Paediatrics.
  • Required experience in the concerned specialty as prescribed in the official notification.

6. Assistant Public Prosecutor

  • Degree in Law from a recognized University / Institution.
  • Prescribed experience of practising as an Advocate / Bar experience as required for the post under the official recruitment rules.

7. Public Law Officer / District Litigation Officer / Law Officer

  • Professional / Integrated Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University / Institution.
